# Terms of service

What Palumb promises about the beta, published before the service exists so that joining the waitlist is a decision made knowing them. Who publishes this site is on [the about page](/about/).

The service is not released yet, so nothing on this site is an offer to contract and nothing is being sold. These terms are published in advance for one reason: joining the waitlist is a decision you make now, and you should be able to make it knowing what is promised. When the service does exist it arrives with its own agreement; these are the terms that agreement will have to honour.

-   Everyone who joins the waitlist gets in. It is a queue, not a selection, and keys are issued by hand, so there is a wait, and we would rather say so than name a date. [The beta page](/waitlist/) has the detail.
-   The beta is the free tier, and it does not end. There is no day when it stops and a bill arrives. No credit card is asked for, and no sales call follows.
-   Every plan is the whole product. Nothing is held back for a higher tier, and every plan gets a signed data processing agreement, because Article 28 requires one, not because it was paid for. The [pricing page](/pricing/) says what each plan costs when the service exists.
-   The delivery path stays open, and self-hosting is free. It is published under AGPL-3.0, for good and not for a trial: the exit is a licence you already have. See [what is open](/open-source/).
-   One EU jurisdiction, and every supplier named. The companies in the path are listed with who owns them on the [sub-processors page](/sub-processors/), and what your data does is in the [privacy notice](/privacy/).

The words and drawings here are ours. Product names and trademarks of other companies belong to their respective owners, and naming them is comparison, not endorsement by them. Comparisons refer to publicly documented facts, each with the date it was checked; they are stated as fact and corrected when wrong: [write to us](/contact/). None of it is advice, legal or otherwise.

The publisher is the person named above, established in Italy, and Italian law applies.

Everyone who joins gets in, and it costs nothing. Your invite goes out when the beta opens.
